How do I Calculate Pond Surface Area?
Rectangular / Square ponds
Calculating your ponds surface area is easy, measure your ponds length and width and multiply them together L X W= sq ft. A 6 x 6 pond would have a surface area around 36 sq ft, and would cost $160 to be cleaned.
Circle / irregular shaped ponds
Calculating surface area for circle ponds and irregular shaped ponds is a bit more challenging to calculate. There is always a degree of inaccuracy and estimation will be needed.

Measure the widest distance across the pond this to get the diameter.

Divide the diameter in half to get the radius.

Multiply the radius by Pi (3.14)

This formula assumes your pond is a perfect circle. If it isn't you must account for that, this is were you may need to estimate.

If your pond has a diameter of 8ft and a radius of 4ft it would roughly have a surface area of 50 sq ft, and would cost $300 to cleaned.

How long does it take to install the fountain?Depending on access, 6-8 hours for a medium fountain installation.

What does installed price mean?Installed price is our base cost for labor and materials to install a fountain in your yard. It does not include the dump fee if dirt must be hauled away. Depending on location dump fees range from $300-$500.

What maintenance does an outdoor fountain require?An outdoor fountain requires little to no maintenance aside from keeping the basin toped off with water. If you leave your fountain running 24/7 you'll need to fill it up every two weeks or so. Fountain treatment can be used to help maintain clear water and remove excess algae.
Why get your pond cleaned?
The goal of a pond cleaning is to remove built up decaying matter from the bottom of your pond. Decaying matter consist of leaves, fish waste, plant remains, sticks and silt. Our powerful pondvac removes all unwanted sludge. Vacuuming will drain about 15%-20% of your ponds water, removing toxic chemicals such as ammonia, phosphate and refilling with clean water. We ensure all filtration systems are working correctly and have proper flow. Sludge is a breeding ground for anaerobic bacteria and this type of bacteria produces a dangerous gas known as hydrogen sulfide. The leaves, fish waste, and other organic materials add to the nutrient load of your ecosystem and in some cases can even clog pumps creating a dangerous situation for your fish. Scheduling professional cleaning for your pond is a wise move that will save you time and money in the long run. Timely intervention can reduce costly cleanouts in the future.
